Project Manager - Ipoh & Johor Bahru

Company Background

We are representing our client, an EPCC contractor that provides Mechanical & Electrical engineering solutions. As they continue to expand, they are looking for Project Managers (M&E) to be based in Ipoh and Johor Bahru

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for multiple projects to ensure successful completion that meets quality standards, deadlines, and budgetary constraints
• Develop and implement comprehensive project strategies that align with the organizations objectives and market demands
• Lead and mentor project team and other key project personnel, fostering a culture of professional growth and excellence
• Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, government entities, and contractors, to establish and maintain strong relationships crucial for project success
• Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring terms support project goals and compliance with legal and regulatory standards
• Monitor the financial health of projects, approving budgets, and ensuring financial strategies are sustainable
• Drive innovations in project execution and management practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Serve as the primary escalation point for resolving any major issues throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct high-level risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to handle potential issues proactively
• Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and professional gatherings to enhance business visibility and expansion opportunities

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or any related field
• 57 years of working experience as a Project Manager handling M&E-related projects, such as commercial building, data centre, solar and etc.
• Extensive experience in project management within the engineering sector, with a proven track record of successful project delivery on a large scale
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage senior-level project teams and stakeholders
• Strong familiarity with industry-standard project management software and methodologies
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Job details:

• Working hours: Mon-Fri (9.00am-6.00pm) & Sat (9.00am - 1.00pm)
• Permanent employment
