Job Objectives

Procure materials necessary to support production or prototype builds. In conjunction, responsibilities include; accomplishing the best possible pricing, lead time agreements, resolution of quality issues, delivery and inventory levels. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop supplier base by actively sourcing, identifying and evaluating new supplier sources and conduct negotiation process in assigned commodity to obtain the maximum benefit for the company. 
• Assess technical specifications, requirements, and capabilities of products or services to ensure they meet the organization’s needs. This involves understanding technical drawings and other documentation. 
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best value for technical goods or services while ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain proper records of purchases, quotation, suppliers’ information and documentations. 
• Responsible on Purchase Requisitions, Quotation and issuance of Purchase Order 
• Purchase the right part/quantities with the required quality, on time to minimize production loss hours/obsolescence and to meet the Master Production Schedule. 
• Responsible for selecting and coordinating of vendors from the Approved Vendor List for purchases. 
• Checking availability and confirming of orders with the vendors in respect to price, quality and delivery dates. 
• Follow up on outstanding purchase orders and expedite delivery of goods send in JIT (Just in Time). 
• Managing daily processing of replenishment orders (Stocked & Ad-hoc) to ensure timely delivery, including releasing orders to suppliers, updating and follow up for ETAs, etc. 
• Re-schedule in and out for all the ordered.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, in Business Administration or equivalent. 
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. 
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills. 
• Preferably contract manufacturing experiences. 
• Able to speak English, Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu.
