PURCHASING ASSISTANT - Career Growth Potential

Responsibilities:

• To prepare and maintain the list of approved suppliers list.
• To request for quotations & materials sample from potential suppliers, manufacturers and sub-contractors.
• To evaluate the prices and quality on materials quoted by the potential suppliers, manufacturers and sub-contractors.
• To submit price comparison for Purchasing Manager’s approval.
• To issue Purchase Order based on Approved MRF from site.
• Attend to calls / visits from suppliers.
• To follow-up and control on materials delivered to site compared to ordered quantities. Communicate with site personnel for material quality to ensure on time delivery.
• Emphasis on inventory control. Update DO and INV in system and attach the DO with INV for account department further action
• Knowledge in ISO 9001:2015 will be added advantage.
• Perform any duty as and when required by the immediate superior / HOD.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Purchasing/Business Administration/equivalent
• At least 2 years and above working experience in Purchasing/ Procurement related field is required.
• Experience working in the construction company will be added advantage
• Possess good interpersonal & presentation skills
• Result oriented with a strong sense of urgency and managing to handle and work under pressure. 
• Required languages-English and Bahasa Malaysia.
