Job Summary:
• Responsible for buying goods and services needed by the company.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure all purchases conform to company expectations in terms of standard, quality, and time.
• Ensure all purchase processes comply with company policy.
• Ensure all purchases fulfill the regulated standard.
• Able to establish cordial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement standardization to enhance cost savings and reduce cycle time.
• Secure goods and services with a contract and agreement.
• Utilize all procurement system tools.
• Monitor the price trend of all purchase materials.
• Recommend changes to the procedure and process where necessary to ensure that checks and balances are maintained between procurement and other departments.
• Request a quotation from a minimum three vendors or above for pricing, goods quality, and service comparison for any new acquisition.
• Submit to the purchasing manager for approval before proceeding to place the purchase order.
• Negotiate with suppliers for the best purchase process and terms with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance.
• Identify, track, and implement opportunities for material cost reduction.
• Any ad hoc task as assigned by the superior.
