About the team and role
NextGen Fraud Team
The team provides decision support solutions to address business objectives in risk prevention and fraud detection. We deliver software solutions and offer client support using our expertise and a client-focused approach.
QA Manager
The QA Manager leads a team of QA engineers, oversees the QA practice, and ensures that all released software meets the agreed standards. Collaborating closely with technology and business stakeholders, the QA Manager develops and implements testing strategies with an emphasis on automation. These strategies encompass all facets of software testing, ensuring that the products fulfil both functional and non-functional requirements.
What you will do
Define success measures for Fraud quality assurance.
Oversee the creation of test strategies, plans, scenarios and cases based on agreed acceptance criteria.
Provide effective line management support for the team of QA engineers.
Create, improve and manage test artefacts including the automation framework.
Guide and where necessary, undertake performance, manual and automated testing activities logging clear and reproducible defects as needed.
When requested, review project design and QA artefacts.
Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Provide advice and guidance to others in Fraud on testing processes and practices.
Recommend and implement process and procedural changes that will enhance the quality of the Fraud products.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that project specific needs are met.
Effectively manage the "creative tension" between delivering scope to a deadline and the strategic goals for quality
Provide input to statements of work, quotes and estimates.
Share best practice processes with other GBG teams.
Skills we’re looking for
Demonstrable QA practice knowledge and experience.
Proficiency in quality assurance automation practices and tooling.
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrable success of leading and working within a team.
Ability to engage all levels of an organization.
Commercially astute with experience in resource / people management.
The ability to interact and work with project managers and stakeholders to deliver multiple projects.
A preference for working in fast paced environments with fluid requirements.
Knowledge with databases, open-source technologies, TDD/BDD, microservice architecture, CI/CD and cloud technologies.
Experience of non-function testing (performance, stress, load, security etc.)
Experience with Agile Methodologies and DevOps culture.
Good presentation skills.
Fluent English language speaker.
Adapts and responds to change positively and effectively and copes with setbacks
Achieves personal goals and approaches tasks and opportunities with a view to commercial and financial factors.
