Quantity Surveyor

Calling all Quantity Surveyors based around the South West of the UK!

As OCM Consulting experiences ongoing expansion, we are actively seeking Quantity Surveyors to join our team on a full-time basis. This presents a rare chance to become part of our dynamic team and gain unique exposure by working with and on behalf of diverse Civil Engineering Contractors.

At OCM Consulting, we specialise in providing various Quantity Surveying services to an expanding roster of Civil Engineering Contractors. Your role will involve collaborating on a diverse array of projects with varying values, contributing within a team setting, and successfully overseeing the commercial aspects of complex Civil Engineering projects.

The Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire commercial function of projects and will report directly to the Lead Quantity Surveyor.

Responsibilities

· Site measurement for external and internal valuations.

· Entitlement and Programme Change

· Applications for payment

· Final account settlements

· Dispute resolution

· Material quantifying and scheduling

· Site Measurement including take off and Cost analysis

· Attending progress and account meetings

· Managing contractor’s supply chain documentation requirements

Requirements

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in the UK

· Experience of Civil Engineering in the UK

· A working knowledge of contract forms including NEC3/4

· Qualified to minimum HNC standard

· The ability to take initiatives and a flexibility to adapt to challenges

· Available to work from site 2/3 days a week, therefore a clean driver’s license is required

· Self-motivated and ability to work as part of a team

· Ability to work to defined deadlines

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Negotiable salary, plus a bonus scheme
