R&D Engineer III

Develops products, materials, processes, or equipment for projects of moderate complexity. Provide R&D technical support on commercial Drug Eluting Stents/Balloon products manufactured in Penang ensuring product safety, compliance, material continuity and cost reduction. Works cross-functionally with project management, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical and marketing to ensure project success. Must be able to effectively work within a multidisciplinary team and the international organization. Works independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet timelines. Performs troubleshooting on products/process problems as related to design, material or process. Summarizes, analyzes and draws conclusions from test results. Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical community. Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality. Understands and complies with all the regulations governing the quality systems. Motivated, self-starter who works within a team environment. Candidate require process at least bachelor's degree in engineering/science Degree, preferably Mechanical, Materials or Biomedical Engineering. At least 5+ years working experience in a Design /Manufacturing environment. R&D/Technical experience preferably in the Medical Device sector. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
