Penerangan Pekerjaan - Receptionist

Purpose of Role

The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for the whole school. This person is expected to behave in a professional and courteous manner to deliver friendly, efficient customer service and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors or parents of the school. 

Our ideal candidate is a professional with demonstrable experience in customer experience, and able to speak fluently in both English and Mandarin. 

Tenby Schools Penang, which hosts both an International and a Malaysian National school, is a premier campus on the island of Penang, located in the prestigious neighbourhood of Tanjung Bungah, just outside George Town.

With a new 75,000 sq. ft. International Schools Partnership (ISP) Malaysia

Key Responsibilities 

  • Deal with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail.
  • Refer enquiries to the appropriate person in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure all messages are accurately and promptly relayed to intended recipients.
  • Responsible for front desk functions and maintaining the appearance of the reception area. 
  • Provide general administration support for the school operations.
  • Be responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for guests and the emergency services.
  • Assist in any other administrative and ad-hoc assignment as and when required.
