GrabInsure is part of Grab Financial Group, which includes GrabPay, GrabFinance, and Digital Banking businesses. GrabInsure's mission is to design innovative insurance that enables millions of people in Southeast Asia to protect themselves and their families against life's uncertainties. We have already launched several "first-of-their-kind" products including micro-health and Usage Based Auto Insurance.

As of 2025, GrabInsure has evolved from a distribution-focused insurtech to a full stack insurtech, obtaining its first insurance license in Singapore. The mission of the team remains the same - to create insurance solutions to protect our customers from life's uncertainties.

Get to Know the Role

Reporting to the Head, Commercial & Strategy, Insurance, you will play an important part in growing our insurtech business in many aspects. You can expect growth opportunities, a wide exposure to insurance management issues, digital insurance innovations, and technology advancements.

This role is based at Grab office at Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Product pricing and development -  working with internal product, marketing, design, engineering, and external partners to develop new digital insurance propositions.
• Data analysis and insights generation - ad hoc data analysis as required
• Commercial and partnerships - working with external partners as needed to bring product ideas and business strategies to market
• Financial, management, and regulatory reporting - assisting with regular reporting and participating in management discussions
• Risk assessment and management -  working with finance, actuarial, and risk management teams to manage the portfolio’s exposures

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You are an entrepreneurial, ambitious and well-rounded actuary with pricing and/or reporting backgrounds. You can expect strong growth opportunities, a wide exposure to insurance management issues, digital insurance innovations, and technology advancements.
• You are a technologist - for example, you are an early adopter of ML and GenAI, and have integrated them into your own personal and professional workflows.
• At least 7 years experience in pricing and/or reporting.
• Strategy & consulting backgrounds are welcome, but not necessary.
• General insurance candidates are strongly preferred.
• South-East Asia experience is preferred but is not essential.
