Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of FP&A, you will be responsible for providing in-depth analysis of the financial performance in APAC and be an active business partner with the other functions to drive growth and improve profitability throughout the region. Responsible for reviewing the accuracy of numbers, and reasonableness of variance explanations of actuals vs. budget and forecast; includes reporting of key findings to Asia-Middle East management and Group Accounting.

Functions and Responsibilities

Prepare consolidated revenues for uploading in Power BI platform

Analyze revenue variances versus prior year as well as trending, waterfalls and Top 10 clients

Liaise with account management teams on questions and changes to their client portfolio

Run and maintain enquiries Power BI report from data warehouse

Analyze monthly and year-to-date shipment volumes, revenues and margins for the region including comparison between budget/forecast and prior year

Analyze monthly and year-to-date direct and operating costs and provide trending charts and comparisons versus budget/forecast and prior year

Complete monthly average insurance claims and incidents report with trending, breakdowns

Prepare new clients realized revenues versus target including realized percentage

Prepare monthly and year-to-date conversion percentages for export shipments based on shipment count and volume

Budgeting/ad hoc

Development and modelling of analysis which provides root cause/s of variances

Prepare ad-hoc analysis and variance reports as required

Assist in month-end reporting and forecasting requirements when required

Drive the continuous improvement, development, and implementation of financial systems when necessary

Support data and analysis for audit / fiscal queries

Develop dashboards on PowerBi, connecting reports to SQL server and other database

Maintain existing dashboard and provide training to users to learn about digitalized reports

Identify opportunities to convert existing reports into digitalized format using PowerBI

Qualifications and Preferred Skills

• At least 3 years financial analysis or accounting experience, preferably gained from a progressive MNC. Experience working in regional office an advantage
• Proactive and able to take initiative
• Good analytical skills as well as good business acumen
• Advanced Excel is a must
• Experience with Essbase is highly desirable
• Experience in Power BI is highly desirable
