Regional Manager

Responsibilities

Talent Management & Development 

• Work collaboratively with People & Culture to recruit for all store team vacancies, actively participating in the recruitment of direct reports and any other key roles in the retail structure
• Deliver effective inductions for all direct reports; ensure all new Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers and Sales Assistants are effectively inducted using company tools, training plans, online training modules and are able to deliver to expectations within their first 3 months
• Provide regular praise and improvement feedback and conduct seasonal performance review discussions with all Store Managers and team members to support their individual development and team performance
• Develop a succession plan for future vacancies in conjunction with Regional Manager and People & Culture Team

Sales

• Develop team members to maximize every sales opportunity to achieve region KPIs, productivity targets, store and individual sales targets
• Work with all Store Managers and team members to identify opportunities to maximize sales as well as identify key areas of non-performance and specific actions to improve results
• Set and communicate the store and region sales budgets and targets
• Drive and support the effective implementation and communication of brand promotions with region and store team

Managing Costs

• Effectively manage salaries, store schedules, and team member leave to maximize productivity using the Company scheduling guidelines and system 
• Ensure all teams adhere to roster guidelines and clock-in/clock-out, break management and shift acknowledgement guidelines
• Ensure loss prevention reviews are conducted and compliance with loss prevention processes, policies and procedures, and take action as required
• Coordinate stocktake preparation and effectively lead and execute stocktake in line the Stocktake Guide

Leadership & Store Operations

• Ensure each store has completed the Sales Briefing Sheet, all team members are briefed on daily sales targets, allocated responsibilities and scheduled breaks by the Store Manager
• Ensure clear communication and expectations are set to ensure the Store Managers deliver on the housekeeping and VM presentation standards
• Ensure a proactive approach to stock management; effectively communicating with Support Office teams regarding stock management opportunities.
• Active participation in weekly retail conference call and follow up actions through stores teams

Health & Safety 

• Create a Safety Eyes culture within Region and promote and foster a safe work environment amongst the teams
• Active participation in Health and Safety Committee and Conference Calls
• Implement and manage Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to remedy risks and restore a safe working environment

Job Requirements: 

• Candidate must possess at least degree in any field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in retail sector
• Proactive & result oriented, possess strong leadership skills and team management skills
• Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and oral). Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage. 
• Willing to travel around Klang Valley area and occasionally travel to different states in Malaysia. 
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office
