Job Purpose

• Reimbursement/Post Financing candidate is responsible for the independent, compliant, and timely handling section of transactions.
• Processes are guided by the Standard Operating Procedures, Guidelines & Policies and practices imposed by the Company/Group.

Process and approve transactions within the delegated authority.

• Ensure in depth understanding of processing Letter of Credit & Reimbursement.
• Diligently escalate any lapses in processing and outstanding with full details of investigation to the respective Team Head/Group Head for close monitoring.
• Ensure the productivity targets set are duly met efficiently/accurately and processing turnaround standards are achieved within the own area of responsibility.
• Ensuring teamwork within the unit/department and organization are closely fostered at any one time.
• The observance of the bank’s requirements with respect to Compliance, AML, KYC, and reputation risk issues (first level check) is indispensable in the daily course of activities.
• Flexible to work shift hours if required.

Key Measurables:

• Achieves the processing turnaround standards as stipulated in the Service Level Agreement between the processing unit and clients.
• Meeting and/or exceeding the expectations in handling complex cases in terms of high-level competency in processing efficiency and accuracy of output.
• Support the implementations and initiatives carried out by the Management and Company/Group.
• Proactively contribute new ideas and concepts to improve operation process.
• Ensuring teamwork within the unit/department and organization are closely fostered.
• The ability to multi-task within the product handling and proactively provide support to the team.

Key Activities:

• Independently handling payment transactions under Letter of Credit: Bank to Bank Reimbursement and Post Financing.
• Ensure transactions are processed according to customer instruction, and charges are collected upon proceed of payment.
• Ensure that all work performed follows policies and regulatory requirements and SOP and promptly attend and respond queries from related banks.
• Support additional tasks or projects assigned by Team Head.
• Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and performance of the team to ensure transactions are processed in a timely manner.
• Act as a source of reference to the team, other’s department and proactively offer help in project or training to peers within department.

Requirements:

• University degree or Commercial School Graduate preferred
• Strong trade finance experience in a financial institution.
• Specialist: 2-4 years, Senior Specialist: 5-7 years
• Well-versed in SWIFT messages correlated to payment (e.g.: MT7series, MT4series, MT202, MT103)
• Knowledge in common rules and standards (e.g.: UCP600 and URR725)
• Command of English and possibly of another foreign language.
