In this pivotal role, you will oversee armed security operations for government contracts, ensuring strategic compliance and effective management across multiple states. Your leadership will directly impact the safety and security protocols adhered to by security personnel at various locations. This challenging remote position requires frequent travel, and the ideal candidate must have a strong background in security management, particularly with large teams and sophisticated security equipment.
Accountabilities
- Oversee security operations and personnel at approximately 15 US Government sites across multiple states.
- Manage a team of around 30 licensed armed security guards, ensuring effective staffing and incident response.
- Ensure strict adherence to contract requirements and legal regulations in all security operations.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer relations, maintaining communication and incident reporting.
- Directly manage and lead the team, handling disciplinary actions and performance reviews.
- Coordinate onboarding for new hires and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
- Verify calibration and operational readiness of security equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of relevant security experience, including three years in management.
- Experience as a licensed security guard preferred.
- Proficiency in managing operations with walk-through magnetometers and hand-held detection wands.
- Familiarity with government contracts and agencies, particularly USCIS.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage personnel remotely across regions.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and maintain security clearance.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently.
