Resident Engineer (Penang) - Join a Market Leader

Job Responsible:-

• Responsible for the supervision and monitoring of construction works in accordance with the contracts and construction drawings especially in respect of specifications, quality and time of completion
• To inspect and monitor at all times each stage of construction works including mechanical and electrical works, external works and the infrastructure works
• To ensure all materials delivered to site conform to the approved specifications and project’s inspection test plan.
• To identify all remedial / outstanding works to be carried out and ensure deliverables are delivered as per stipulated time frame stated in contracts
• To regularly update relevant superiors on the progress of construction works and report any problem areas encountered especially in respect of defective, outstanding or non-conforming works or delayed works
• To record and document all aspects of construction work progress such as daily work record which encompasses labor force, machinery and weather records.
• To carry out final inspections and handovers including ensuring that all as built drawings are prepared and a copy kept with relevant superiors prior to issuance of certificate of practical completion
• To control all relevant project documents and data.

Job Requirement:-

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation and reporting skills
• Required skill(s) : Autocad, basic knowledge in mechanical and electrical services for building, knowledge and experience in design
• Preferably in Engineering - Mechanical or Electrical
• This position will be based in Penang Site - George Town.
