Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of servers, hosts, and other front-of-house staff.
- Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive team culture, encouraging collaboration, communication, and a strong work ethic.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee the daily operations of the outlet, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and coordinate with the management team for timely restocking.
Customer Service
- Ensure exceptional customer experiences by maintaining high service standards and resolving any customer enquiries, concerns and complaints.
- Monitor and manage customer feedback, taking proactive steps to address issues and continuously improve service quality.
Communication and Collaboration
- Liaise with kitchen staff and management to ensure efficient communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Participate in team meetings, providing valuable insights and feedback to enhance overall restaurant operations.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, as well as local health regulations.
- Monitor staff adherence to company policies and procedures, taking corrective actions when necessary.
Staff Scheduling
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and according to business demand.
- Handle shift changes, time-off requests, and manage staffing adjustments as needed.
Training and Development
- Conduct initial and ongoing training for new and existing staff members on service standards, menu knowledge, and customer interaction skills.
- Identify areas for skill improvement and implement training programs to enhance staff performance.
Sales and Upselling
- Encourage upselling and suggestive selling techniques among staff to maximize revenue generation.
- Monitor sales trends and collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving sales performance.
Financial Management
- Assist in managing daily cash handling procedures, including cash registers and tips distribution.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure adherence to budget and cost-control measures.
- Monitor sales trends, suggest upselling techniques, and contribute to strategies that drive revenue growth.
