Position Title: Retail Store Manager
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store, ensuring that the business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people. The role involves tasks from managing staff and overseeing inventory, to customer service and implementing business strategies.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily store operations and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
2. Maintain high store standards and conditions and foster a positive environment.
3. Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service; resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
4. Manage and motivate the team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
5. Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales volumes to maximize profits.
6. Handle inventory levels and make key decisions about stock control.
7. Implement measures to avoid stock damages, theft, and wastage.
8. Monitor and maintain store inventory with the latest merchandising standards.
9. Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays.
10. Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store.
11. Manage store budget and allocate funds appropriately.
12. Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
13. Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays.
14. Prepare detailed reports on buying trends, customer requirements, and profits.
15. Undertake store administration duties such as managing store budgets and updating financial records.
16. Monitor and manage expenses within the allotted budget.
17. Recruit, train, and supervise staff, and provide feedback and performance evaluations.
18. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Retail Management, or a related field.
2. Experience: Proven successful experience as a retail manager.
3. Strong leadership and customer management abilities.
4. Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong organizational and planning skills.
7. Proficiency in English.
8. Skills in retail management software, such as point of sale systems.
9. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
