Technical Support Executive – Flat Roofing

Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Support Executive to support the Technical Manager and Design Lead in the Flat Roofing business.

The role will provide technical support to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that flat roofing systems are properly specified, delivered and installed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, approved methods and quality standards.

The position requires a hands-on individual who is comfortable working on construction sites, handling technical queries, developing solutions and engaging with clients, contractors, applicators, architects and other industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for flat roofing projects.
  

• Prepare Method Statements (MOS) for flat roofing installation works.
  

• Plan, coordinate and supervise the technical aspects of flat roofing construction projects.
  

• Provide technical support and solutions for client and site-related queries.
  

• Advise clients and site teams on product delivery, handling, installation and related processes.
  

• Prepare mock-up samples and prototype samples where required.
  

• Attend technical meetings with clients, contractors, architects and other stakeholders.
  

• Conduct technical training, product presentations and briefings.
  

• Prepare technical reports and documentation as required.
  

• Ensure all flat roofing works comply with manufacturer specifications, approved installation methods and quality requirements.
  

• Develop a strong understanding of flat roofing systems, products and associated accessories.
  

• Support the promotion and application of the company's flat roofing systems in the market.
  

• Respond promptly to technical enquiries and provide practical solutions, particularly for issues encountered on site.
  

• Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external customers.
  

• Travel extensively to project sites and customer locations, with travel expected to exceed 60%.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a technically strong and customer-oriented construction professional who can operate both in the office and on site.

You should be comfortable investigating technical problems, speaking directly with clients and contractors, and developing practical solutions when unexpected issues arise on site.

Experience in flat roofing, waterproofing, building envelope, roofing systems or construction materials would be highly relevant.

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building, Architecture or a related technical discipline.
  

• Experience in construction, building materials, waterproofing, roofing or related industries will be advantageous.
  

• Strong understanding of construction methods and site practices.
  

• Experience preparing BOQs and Method Statements.
  

• Able to interpret technical drawings and construction requirements.
  

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD.
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

• Good written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  

• Strong organisational skills with a systematic and methodical approach to work.
  

• Independent, disciplined and able to work with a strong sense of urgency.
  

• Comfortable working on construction sites and travelling extensively.
  

• Willing to travel more than 60%.
