The Sales Engineer, Fabrication (South Asia Pacfifc) is responsible for driving growth of Companyâs engineered piping, design, and prefabrication solutions across the region. The role combines strong technical knowledge in fabrication, projects, and system integration with commercial capability to support customers from early design through to handover. By identifying opportunities and coordinating with engineering, proposal and fabrication teams, the position ensures our companyâs fabrication solutions are specified and used effectively. The role builds strong relationships with EPCs, OEMs, consultants, and end users, expanding Companyâs regional presence and supporting consistent, profitable growth in line with strategic objectives.
Main Task
⪠Engage with EPCs, OEMs, consultants, and end users to identify, qualify, and develop fabrication project opportunities, ensuring all required information is captured.
⪠Understand client requirements and translate them into accurate technical and commercial proposals (with proposal team), presenting solutions clearly back to customers.
⪠Manage customer accounts by monitoring quotations, ensuring proposal commitments are met on time, and coordinating with internal teams for successful outcomes.
⪠Negotiate and close opportunities through presentations, tender support, and contract discussions, ensuring profitability and compliance with Company policies.
⪠Collaborate closely with regional sales, proposal, and PFC teams while providing market insights to support business cases and continuous improvement.
⪠Responsible to deliver sales growth and order intake for design and prefabrication in line with regional PFC budget targets, while proactively exploring new markets and applications
Requirements
⪠Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or related Engineering field.
⪠3â7 yearsâ experience in technical sales, fabrication, sales engineering, or project-based environments (preferably industrial, water, semiconductor, or energy sectors).
⪠Strong knowledge of piping systems, fabrication methods, and the ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and technical specifications.
⪠Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with EPCs, OEMs, consultants, and end users.
⪠Ability to work effectively across regional teams in a global, matrixed organisation and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
⪠Proficiency in MS Office, CRM platform Awareness of relevant fabrication standards for piping and installations ( ISO, EN/DIN,AMSE,DVS /AW )
