Our client is an established manufacturer specializing in industrial plastic manufacturing and packaging solutions. Known for producing high -quality industrial containers, they serve various commercial and industrial sectors across Malaysia. They are currently looking for a proactive and results -driven sales professional to join their expanding team.
Support strategic business development activities, assisting with direct sales, localized marketing, and aligning product specifications with client needs.
Actively promote and sell the company's full portfolio of plastic manufacturing products, focusing heavily on industrial jerricans, pails, and associated packaging items.
Seamlessly manage inbound customer inquiries and aggressively follow up on pipeline sales opportunities.
Prepare detailed quotations, financial costings, and formal sales documentation tailored to specific customer requirements.
Formulate basic cost estimations by accurately evaluating Bill of Materials (BOM), required labor, factory overheads, and logistics expenditures.
Review product pricing regularly alongside management to protect profit margins in accordance with corporate policy.
Maintain highly organized, proper customer files, commercial sales records, and costing databases.
Coordinate closely with internal purchasing, production, planning, warehouse, and logistics departments to ensure accurate quotation data, optimized manufacturing workflow, and timely customer delivery schedules.
Track and monitor open customer orders, physical delivery timelines, and financial payment/collection statuses.
Cultivate, sustain, and expand strong professional relationships with both existing accounts and newly acquired clients.
Act as the primary point of contact for customer complaints, liaising with relevant internal engineering or production teams to ensure swift resolution.
Support the broader sales division in collectively achieving monthly sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Assist in compiling detailed sales reports, market demand forecasts, and operational updates for management review.
Monitor changing market trends, competitor commercial activities, and shifting customer volume requirements.
Participate in external customer site visits, industrial exhibitions, trade shows, and targeted corporate marketing initiatives when required.
Education: Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or an equivalent field of study.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of proven working experience in a related B2B sales or account management capacity.
Industry Domain: Prior experience working within plastic manufacturing, industrial plastic packaging, or specifically handling jerrican and pail product lines is highly advantageous.
Technical Skills: Strong functional knowledge in quotation drafting and manufacturing cost estimation is a distinct advantage. Basic analytical and commercial reporting skills are required.
Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication, corporate presentation, and commercial negotiation abilities. Displays a positive attitude backed by strong customer service values.
Work Style: Proven capability to work effectively as an independent contributor while collaborating smoothly within a cross -functional team.
Language Skill: The ability to understand Mandarin will be considered an added advantage to facilitate communication with specific customer segments.
Mobility: Applicants must be fully willing to be based at the workplace in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, and travel for client visitations as needed.
