As the Hotel Room Sales Manager for Mana-Mana Suites, you will lead the sales team (e-commerce, groups, corporate and etc.) to achieve company sales goals and objectives, contribute to revenue growth, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. You will oversee all aspects of sales promotion, customer interaction, operations support, market analysis, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Promotion and Management:

• Promote and sell all hotel products, primarily rooms, in alignment with established sales targets.
• Develop sales plans and strategies to cultivate and maintain customer relationships, ensuring consistent sales performance.

2. Customer Interaction and Relationship Management:

• Understand customer needs through various channels, such as telephone sales and face-to-face visits, to achieve sales targets.
• Produce quotations promptly, send contracts to customers, and follow up on inquiries and negotiations efficiently.

3. Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis:

• Proactively gather market and industry information to identify business opportunities and support decision-making.
• Stay updated on competitor product information and key customer profiles, reporting findings promptly.

4. Team Leadership and Performance Management:

• Motivate and train department employees to ensure high performance and adherence to sales targets.
• Facilitate effective communication between the Sales team and Hotel Operations team through regular meetings.

5. Training and Knowledge Acquisition:

• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of hotel products and related activities to effectively promote sales.

6. Revenue Maximization and Forecasting:

• Maximise sales opportunities and accurately forecast revenue to achieve budgetary goals.

7. Collaboration and Marketing Support:

• Collaborate with marketing representatives to develop quotes or contracts.
• Participate in the development of marketing plans to achieve budgetary objectives.

8. Continuous Improvement and Adaptation:

• Conscientiously perform assigned tasks, adapting to evolving market demands, and identifying opportunities for product innovation and sales growth. 
• Regularly analyse tourist source cities, formulate development plans, and expand distribution channels to drive business growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field.
• Preferably with at least 3 years of sales management experience in the hotel industry or related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with customers and teams.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, capable of motivating and inspiring team members to achieve goals.
• Proficiency in market analysis and competitive intelligence gathering, able to develop effective sales strategies based on data.
• Possess a flexible attitude towards work, capable of handling pressure and adapting to fast-paced environments.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Malay, with proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) being an advantage.
