Sap Fico/Sap S/4Hana

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to join our team for a prestigious client engagement based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and a deep understanding of Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) business processes. This is a client-facing, onsite role that requires both technical SAP expertise and strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders, understand business requirements, and deliver scalable, compliant financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation and configuration of SAP FICO modules in an S/4HANA
  
• Analyze business requirements and map them into SAP functionalities across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.
  
• Ensure solutions align with statutory and regulatory compliance as per local and international financial reporting standards.
  
• Collaborate with business users to design process flows, functional specifications, and develop test cases for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  
• Provide post-go-live support, issue resolution, and continuous improvement for SAP FICO functionalities.
  
• Deliver training and documentation for end users, finance teams, and support staff.
  
• Work closely with other SAP modules (MM, SD, HR, etc.) to ensure proper system integration and consistency.
  
• Participate in periodic system upgrades, enhancement planning, and risk mitigation assessments.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO configuration and implementation.
  
• At least 2 full-cycle implementations in SAP S/4HANA projects, including blueprinting, realization, testing, and deployment.
  
• Strong knowledge of FI processes such as financial statements, taxation, closing processes, and CO processes like budgeting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
  
• Experience with cross-module integration with SAP MM (Material Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), and HR.
  
• Familiarity with localizations, statutory reporting, and GST/VAT compliance (especially in Southeast Asian markets) is highly desirable.
  
• Proficiency in preparing functional specifications and coordinating with technical teams for custom developments.
  
• Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders and end users.
  

Preferred:

• SAP FICO certification is an added advantage.
  
• Previous onsite experience in international projects, especially in Malaysia or other Southeast Asian countries, is a plus.
  
• Exposure to Agile or hybrid project delivery models.
