Security Trainee - Career Growth Potential

Job Description:

• Read, understand, and become familiar with all Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) to strictly adhere to performing duties.
• Familiarize oneself with the physical layout, characteristics, and requirements of the designated security coverage area.
• Be on duty 15 minutes before the start of the shift to conduct roll call briefings for security guards.
• Ensure full equipment readiness to perform duties during working hours.
• Perform all duties with the objective of protecting lives and company properties.
• Follow legal instructions from superiors without hesitation or question.
• Ensure all equipment provided by the company is utilized properly.
• Provide assistance to other departments when requested in executing security functions.
• Effectively prevent, handle, or contain any incidents occurring within the coverage area.
• Take proactive measures to prevent undesirable incidents and report them to immediate superiors for advice.
• Attend to any reported incidents immediately and inform superiors for advice and assistance.
• Conduct preliminary investigations on undesirable incidents, report findings, and provide suggestions to immediate superiors.
• Assist and direct subordinates during fire evacuation drills.
• Monitor and ensure daily performance of outsourced security guards according to the contract, SOP, and WI.
• Ensure deployment of security guards is in accordance with contract requirements and properly equipped.
• Ensure the Guard Tour System (GTS) is functioning, and security personnel conduct patrolling; GTS daily reports must be printed out.
• Ensure safety practices are enforced and followed by workers and security guards.
• Maintain good relationships with local government agencies, police, fire brigade departments, and other related entities.
• Monitor the physical deployment of security guards by visiting guardhouses/posts.
• Inspect the CCTV command center and report any malfunctions immediately to the IT department.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Patrol the factory perimeter and hostel areas, including rooftops.
• Conduct security training, guidance, and monitoring for security guards in their daily duties.
• Take immediate action on any tasks assigned by superiors.
• Evaluate and complete subordinates' mid-term or annual appraisals, including KPIs and competencies, through the performance management system.
