Senior Analyst, Data & Insights

Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. ROLE SUMMARY:

The Senior Analyst, Data & Insights is responsible for supporting and analyzing customer data across multiple database systems throughout the ASEAN region. This role requires proficiency in SQL and Python programming to extract, cleanse, validate, consolidate, and visualize data to drive business insights and decision-making.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Technology teams to identify data requirements and develop comprehensive understanding of data architecture
• Oversee master data management, including creation, updates, and import/export processes
• Conduct thorough reviews and validation of SQL-based data across diverse database environments and systems
• Establish and monitor data performance metrics, lifecycle management protocols, and quality standards while ensuring compliance with organizational data policies
• Implement systematic approaches to identify, document, and resolve data quality issues in accordance with established timelines and effectiveness criteria
• Design and develop interactive dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or comparable visualization platforms
• Conduct in-depth ad-hoc data analysis and present findings with clarity and precision to stakeholders at various organizational levels

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, or equivalent quantitative discipline
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in business analytics and data management
• Advanced SQL proficiency for complex data querying and analytical operations
• Demonstrated experience managing and analyzing large-scale datasets and relational databases
• Comprehensive understanding of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) methodologies and implementation
• In-depth knowledge of database standards, models, and best practices
• Python programming skills (highly desirable)
• Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI (highly desirable)
• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and Agile methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Chinese language proficiency is advantageous
• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on stakeholder management
• Exceptional analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities
• Detail-oriented with commitment to data accuracy and integrity
