Job description
• Complete audit assignments within the timeframe given.
• Follow up on any outstanding issues from clients.
• Liaise with clients on all aspects of the engagement including highlighting to the client the issues related to accounting or other related areas.
• Liaise with company secretary, tax agents and other authorities to obtain statutory information required for the audit assignment.
• Identify and document audit issues and recommendations to enhance improvements in controls and procedures.
• Manage and guide juniors on engagement teams and review their work before submitting to manager for review.
• Tax computation of companies and tasks assigned are completed correctly accurately, and timely. (Training will be provided if required)
Requirement
• Professional accounting qualification and/or Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance and/or partial professional qualifications (ACCA/MIA/CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of audit and tax experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, people management and mentoring skills.
• Detailed and organized.
• Good communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin as the role requires candidate to communicate with SME Mandarin speaking clients.
• A team player who is able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Able to work under pressure and effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
