Senior Business Analyst

About the right team member 

As Senior Business Analyst, you’ll help influence key decision-making across the Playlist International organization through financial planning and quantitative analysis.  This is a role for a data enthusiast, structured thinker, and strategic doer who can leverage data modeling skills to support team members on high-priority initiatives across the business.  

• Use data fluency (Excel, SQL), to enable effective decision making through driving ad hoc pieces of financial analysis and models (e.g., deal profitability calculator, investment scenario forecasting, unit economics modeling) and competitive analysis (e.g., pricing, promotions) 

• Help evaluate and refine new hypotheses on priority business themes, uncover new insights and guide assumptions and outcomes with data-driven input 

• Develop and support processes for monitoring the health and performance of critical business functions and collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate tradeoffs, opportunities and risks associated with strategic options 

• Communicate with precision—translating data and strategy into compelling updates for senior leaders 

• Support international strategic planning processes, including the annual operating plan, long-range financial planning,  

Experience You Bring:   

• 3+ years in consulting, investment banking, FP&A/financial planning, or strategy at a tech-forward company  

• Sharp analytical mind with Advanced Excel and financial/data modeling skills; SQL experience is a plus 

• Strong quantitative orientation, as evidenced by prior quantitative work experience 

• Clear communicator who can translate complex insights into business recommendations 

• Strong attention to detail with high personal standards for accuracy and quality of work 

• Proactive, curious, and motivated by solving open-ended business problems Comfortable working across functions, time zones, and cultures to influence outcomes
