About the role

As the Senior Controls Engineer for Carrier, you’ll be reporting to the Deputy Controls Manager, and be responsible in executions of controls projects (building management systems/ chiller management systems/ energy management systems) and other solutions-based projects that may consist of other HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Controls Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Achieve the project delivery target timeline.
• Ensure that projects are delivered according to design and plan, while also ensuring quality of work
• Provide training to customers on the usage of equipment/system and prepare submission of documents such as schedules, method statements, drawings, operation manuals, and other necessary documents based on the project requirements.
• Provide customer service to building owners, consultants, and end-users to improve solution sales and customer satisfaction.
• Acquire an effective understanding of products to provide customers with suitable solutions.
• Provide technical assistance to internal customers such as Sales team and Service team.
• Cultivate strong and enduring relationships with our clients, emphasizing trust, respect, and the delivery of high-quality service.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills to facilitate productive collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Thrive in a team environment, actively contributing to the team's success and fostering a cooperative atmosphere.
• Engage in and support all team-building activities, including training sessions, promotions, and cross-functional/departmental initiatives as needed.

Requirements:
We are looking for people who are sales driven and have a proven track record in solution selling within the HVAC industry. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in BMS systems (Automated Logic System knowledge will be an added benefit)
• Collaborate with project teams to define control system requirements and specifications.
• Configure and fine-tune control algorithms for HVAC, lighting, security, and other building systems.
• Able to work together with the project department closely to ensure proper coordination and simultaneous execution of projects.
• Has knowledge of HVAC control systems and functions.
• Has a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Team oriented and has strong client problem solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision but in a structured environment.
• Results oriented and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems
• Must have own car.
• Must be willing to travel across Malaysia if required.
• Project management skills are required.
• A detailed understanding of BMS systems (design, execution, T&C, troubleshooting)
• A detailed understanding of energy efficiency requirements (green mark standard / LEEDS etc) will be an added advantage.
