Senior Deli

Our organization is seeking an experienced individual for the position of Senior Deli. This role involves overseeing the deli department's operations, providing high-quality customer service, food preparation and sales with a particular focus on deli products. The candidate should be well-versed in food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure high-quality and safe food preparation and delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing all aspects of the deli sector, ensuring smooth operations and quality control.
• Preparing, cooking, and presenting food products for sale, including sandwiches, salads, and other deli items.
• Assisting customers with their queries, educating them about the various deli products and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Maintaining and enforcing strict hygiene, health and safety standards throughout the deli department.
• Ordering and receiving our deli inventory, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained at all times.
• Training and supervising junior staff, ensuring they follow the established guidelines and providing feedback for improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, with college-level or culinary school training considered as a plus.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a deli setting or similar food service setting.
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation and preservation techniques, specifically for deli products.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Experience in managing and training staff members.
• Understanding and experience enforcing sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
