Senior Developer

We're looking for a Senior Developer who builds fast and builds well - someone who uses AI-assisted development (Claude Code) as a core part of their workflow to ship integrations, extensions, and portals across the Zoho ecosystem. You'll own solutions end to end: from design discussions with stakeholders through development, testing, documentation, and post-deployment monitoring. This is a hands-on senior role with room to shape our delivery standards and technical direction.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scripts and services on a cloud-based architecture, primarily across the Zoho platform (CRM, Creator, Catalyst, Flow, Deluge).
  


• Build integrations, extensions, and customer/partner portals within Zoho products, using Claude Code to accelerate development without compromising quality.
  


• Build and expose business-service APIs for internal and external consumption, ensuring they are secure, well-documented, and reliable.
  


• Lead R&D and proof-of-concept work - evaluate new tools, methods, and platform capabilities that unlock value, and feed them into the company's delivery strategy.
  


• Produce and maintain technical specifications and documentation to the required quality and standard.
  


• Review design documents from peers and provide constructive feedback on approach, feasibility, and estimates.
  


• Ensure software meets or exceeds specified standards, security requirements, and end-user needs.
  


• Partner with stakeholders - business users and technical teams - in requirement gathering and design discussions, translating business needs into technical solutions.
  


• Develop test cases covering functional, performance, and security testing.
  


• Monitor integrations, API health, business metrics, and consumption patterns, and drive action plans to continuously improve reliability and performance.
  


• Mentor junior developers and help raise the overall engineering standard of the team.
  

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a track record of delivering production systems on cloud/SaaS platforms.
  


• Strong hands-on experience developing on the Zoho platform - CRM customization, Creator apps, Deluge scripting, and Zoho Flow - or demonstrable ability to ramp up quickly.
  


• Proficiency building and consuming REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
  


• Practical experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code or equivalent) to design, build, and debug software - and sound judgment on where AI accelerates work versus where human oversight is essential.
  


• Solid grasp of software design principles, security best practices, and the full development lifecycle.
  


• Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  


• Self-directed, comfortable owning ambiguous problems, and able to lead a solution from concept to production.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with Zoho Catalyst (serverless functions, Data Store, ZCQL, API Gateway, AppSail) - a strong plus.
  


• Familiarity with the broader Zoho suite (Books, Desk, People, Projects, SalesIQ).
  


• Experience integrating AI/LLM services (e.g., Claude API) into business applications.
  


• Prior experience in a consulting, systems integration, or Zoho partner environment.
  


• Malaysian regulatory/compliance context (e-invoicing/MyInvois, SSM) awareness.

• Good command of JSON and XML data interchange formats.
  


• Hands-on experience with Claude Code (or equivalent AI coding assistants) to design, build, and debug software - and the judgment to know where AI accelerates the work and where human oversight matters.
  


• Hands-on experience writing SQL statements - a plus.
  


• Working knowledge of Zoho applications (CRM, Flow, Creator) - a plus.
  


• Good grasp of Zoho Deluge, JavaScript, and Python - a plus.
