Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations of water treatment plants, pumping stations, and distribution systems.
Monitor water quality and ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards.
Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities.
Stay updated on changes in water treatment legislation and standards.
Lead, train, and mentor plant operators, technicians, and support staff.
Develop schedules and assign tasks to ensure efficient plant operation.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Oversee chemical dosing, filtration, and disinfection processes.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Manage troubleshooting and emergency response procedures.
Prepare and manage budgets for operations, maintenance, and capital projects.
Ensure efficient use of resources, including chemicals, energy, and manpower.
Liaise with vendors and contractors for procurement and service agreements.
