JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES
Control and manage the Project Contract Management Unit from contract pre-award and post-award, through the implementation, dispute management, and document control to achieve efficient and effective system that create value added project management fundamentals in attaining Marine Operations’ goals. At the same time mitigate and controls MMHE’s interest from any legal and reputation risk.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITY
CONTRACT IMPLEMENTATION
Compliance and regulatory oversight, ensure compliance with maritime regulations, industry standards, and contractual obligations. To mitigate legal and regulatory risks in safeguarding MMHE’s interest to meet unique goals and objectives.
CONTRACT PRE-AWARD
Strategies pre-award contract management, in ensuring the contract is favorable to the company and mitigates any contract related risk. This not limited to Standard MMHE’s Terms and Conditions (T&C), BIMCO Repaircon and/or client’s T&C.
RISK MANAGEMENT
Identify and assess risks associated with Marine Operations contracts, such as operational disruptions, financial liabilities (PCRRS), and compliance issues. Implement the risk mitigation strategies to protect MMHE’s interests.
CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
Administration of contracts throughout their lifecycle, including contract drafting, and renewal. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting related to contracts.
COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and legal teams, to align contract management activities with organizational goals and objectives. Communicate effectively with external parties to facilitate smooth contract execution and resolution of issues.
LEGAL MATTERS
Asist legal (internal and external) in safeguarding MMHE’s interest in any legal dispute with clients, subcontractor and any third party related to Marine Operations.
WARRANTY MANAGEMENT
Management of client’s project warranty and project closure. Advise Marine Operations management should any adverse condition noted.
DISPUTE MANAGEMENT
Advise and assist PMT on any contract dispute with client to ensure MMHE’s interest is preserved on timely manner and maintain client relationship.
DOCUMENTATION
Establish document control system for the project to ensure that all project documents are properly organized and documented for project closed out and meeting contractual obligation.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Identify areas for process improvement and optimization within Marine Operations Contract Management. Implement best practices, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability in contract administration and execution.
HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT (HSE)
To ensure that the company’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies are strictly adhered to.
