The Senior Executive (VM & VDA) is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, administration, and operational stability of enterprise server infrastructure, operating systems, storage platforms, and Virtual Desktop Agent (VDA) platforms across the KPJ Hospitals and Managed Private Cloud. The role ensures servers, operating systems, and VDA environments operate securely, reliably, and efficiently, supporting enterprise applications and virtual application delivery services while complying with operational standards, security policies, and service level requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Server & Storage Infrastructure Management
- Coordinate and support enterprise server platforms and related infrastructure resources across Managed Private Cloud (MPC) and on-premises environments, including provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management for hospital and site systems.
- Monitor system and storage performance, utilization, and capacity to ensure optimal operation.
- Ensure server and storage platforms maintain high availability, stability, and performance.
2. OS & Virtual Application Operations & Support
- Manage and support Windows and Linux operating systems in production and non-production environments
- Administer and support virtual application platforms (e.g. Citrix Virtual Apps / VDI or equivalent)
- Ensure OS and virtual applications meet agreed availability, performance, and security standards
- Perform advanced troubleshooting for OS and virtual application-related issues
- Support after-hours and on-call activities as part of operational requirements and team rotation.
3. Platform Enhancement & Project Support
- Prepare, evaluate, design, implement, and support of server, storage, operating system, and VDA platform initiatives, including upgrades, migrations, and standardization activities.
- Lead or support platform refresh, optimization, and capacity planning activities
- Ensure changes align with production stability and disaster recovery requirements
4 .Incident, Problem & Change Management
- Act as a key responder during major incidents involving OS or virtual application platforms
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Review and support changes through approved change management processes
5. Security, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure OS and virtual application platforms comply with security hardening, patching, and access control standards
- Support audit, risk assessment, and compliance activities
- Maintain and review SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation
6. Mentoring & Continuous Improvement
- Mentor and guide Executive-level engineers, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing
- Identify opportunities to improve system resilience, performance, and operational efficiency
- Perform ad-hoc tasks in support of organizational initiatives and IT transformation programs
REQUIREMENTS:
1) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science
2) Knowledge and Experiences:
- 3-6 Years of Relevant Experience: Proven track record with hands-on experience supporting enterprise server, storage, and operating system environments.
- Server & Storage Platforms: Experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure and SAN/NAS storage systems.
- Operating System Management: Experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
- Virtual Desktop Platforms: Exposure to Citrix VDA or virtual application delivery environments.
- Infrastructure Operations: Experience monitoring system performance and maintaining platform stability.
- Collaborative Team Player: Proven ability to work effectively in team environments, collaborating with colleagues at all levels of the organization to meet project goals and deadlines.
