Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible of Full Set accounts (journal entries, AR, AP, GL, Cash Flow, Bank Reconciliation, Trial Balance, P&L & Balance Sheet) operational day to day activities and ensures account are up-to-date at all times.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the accounting department and other administration functions
  • Reviews month-end posting transactions to ensure the accuracy & correctness of the accounts.
  • Preparation of monthly management reports and other accounts related matters.
  • Control and manage the end-to-end financial process in support of accounts, which included collection, payment, monthly reporting, and balance sheet item reconciliation.
  • Ensure all accounting systems, practices, controls, and procedures are fully compliant with the latest financial reporting standards and applicable reporting standards.
  • Monitor accounts payable and ensure all entries are updated within the deadline set.
  •  Perform daily administrative duties
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist in preparing financial statements and reports
  • Maintain proper records in Accounting System including matching and verifying accuracy and completeness of supporting documents.
  • Responsible for overall filing of accounts related documents and maintenance of records functions are performed in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense management.
  • Handle bank transactions and performing bank reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements, and keep abreast of changes in regulations.
  • Assist in payroll processing and maintain confidential employee records.
  • Coordinate with external parties like vendors, clients, and service providers.
  • Support the management team with project management and other organizational tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on office activity, including staff timekeeping and contracts.
  • Utilize accounting software to manage financial tasks efficiently
  • Assist the finance manager in creating financial reports on a regular basis.
  • Adhere to the company’s or organization’s financial policies and procedure
  • Maintaining high levels of honesty, confidentiality and integrity
  • Any other ad hoc task as may be assigned from time to time by the superior
  • To liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents and company secretary.
  • Responsible Office Administrative tasks, etc answering and forwarding of phone calls, taking messages & handling basic enquiries appropriately and courteously.
  • Perform all the administration task assigned and able to multi-tasks and perform any other ad-hoc task upon request
  • Perform all the administration task assigned and support on other relevant tasks or assignments that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Able to adapt to changes, multitask & work with people at all levels independently.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and SQL accounting software in added advantage
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good ethics and conduct.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Able to multi-task, meticulous, organized, independently, possess problem solving ability and work under time pressure.
  • Proven experience in an administrative role with accounting responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in accounting and administrative roles, preferably in a similar capacity.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Competency in a full set of accounts, SQL accounting software, billing, debtor, and management sales reports.
  • Being able to converse in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is a must.
