Altera is seeking a dedicated Infrastructure and DevOps Lab/HPC Engineer to contribute to the management and optimization of our lab and HPC environments. This role is integral to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our computing infrastructure, while supporting innovation through effective DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HPC systems, lab management, and infrastructure automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, implementation, and management of HPC and lab environments to support engineering and software activities.

• Develop and maintain automation tools and processes to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and compatibility of Lab/HPC systems with existing infrastructure.

• Monitor and troubleshoot HPC and lab systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to support continuous improvement and innovation in HPC and lab environments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Min 5 years experience in Lab infrastructure, HPC systems management e.g. experience in LSF, Slurm is important

• Experience in Cloud and AI technology will be added advantages

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

• Technically strong in the virtualization, CaaS, configuration management tools, security management is crucial to the roles

• Strong Technical knowledge in storage management and architecting (SAN and NAS)

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels and able to make decision independently
