Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer - Start Immediately

Purpose of the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, leading projects, and continuously improving their own skills. This role requires expertise in various domains such as networking, client support, server implementation, scripting, and vendor management. The candidate should possess certifications in Azure and Infrastructure, with demonstrated proficiency in PowerShell scripting, Power Automate, Azure Infrastructure (IaaS and PaaS), Microsoft365, and CloudFlare.

Key Responsibilities

• Business as Usual (BAU) Operations (40%):
• Ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure in accordance with established standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance tasks.
• Project Leadership and Implementation (40%):
• Lead discussions and collaborate with stakeholders to identify infrastructure enhancement opportunities.
• Develop project plans, documentation, and timelines for infrastructure projects.
• Execute infrastructure projects efficiently, ensuring accountability and adherence to project objectives.
• Personal Development (20%):
• Continuously improve technical skills and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
• Pursue relevant certifications, with a focus on Azure and Infrastructure.
• Experiment with new technologies and tools to enhance personal and team productivity.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer or similar role before.
• Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting, with the ability to merge, dissect, and create scripts from scratch.
• Expertise in Power Automate and demonstrated experience as an SME.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft365 and CloudFlare.
• Experience leading infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Azure and Infrastructure certifications preferred.
