Job Summary:
Lead, plan and manage the provision of legal services as a strategic partner for respective Business/Sector on all legal corporate related matters to realize business’s objectives and goals and to safeguard PETRONAS’ interests at all times.
Job Description:
Legal Advisory
- Lead and manage the overall provision of legal advisory services and their alignment to business direction of PETRONAS Group.
Contract Documentation/ Agreement
- Lead and manage the formulation of legal strategies, development and negotiation of contracts and legal documentation relating to PETRONAS businesses.
Legal Risk Management and Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Lead and manage the provision of legal risk analysis and solutions in response to any form of risk exposure to the PETRONAS Group.
- Lead and manage the implementation system and procedures for the purpose of compliance with laws, corporate governance, regulations, policies, guidelines, and framework.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution
- Lead and manage the provision of advice, management, and recommendations of solutions in relation to any issues/ disputes for PETRONAS Businesses.
Strategic Stakeholder Management
- Support the implementation of key initiatives of Group Legal and effective agile team within Group Legal and maintain working relationships with other internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers to keep abreast with latest development to capture new business opportunities.
Qualification:
Degree i.e. LLB (Hons)/Bachelor of Laws from a recognized university/institution.
Job Requirements:
- Preferably at least 15 years’ experience with adequate knowledge of Critical Laws and/or compliance management.
- Experience in relevant legal areas particularly in oil, gas or energy industry.
- Qualified to practice as a lawyer in Malaysia with Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) working experience in law firms or in-house legal department and had undergone pupillage.
