Senior Logistics Officer - Inbound Logistics & Custom Liaison

1. Monitor and manage inbound logistics operations including resource planning for priority tasks.
2. Ensure smooth material/operations flow from inbound until production based on established processes.
3. Support supervision of daily activities and ensure tasks are executed as planned.
4. Support implementation of BPS / continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Monitor KPIs and report deviations with proposed actions.
6. Act as first-level escalation point for operational, MHE and system issues.
7. Person in charge for all custom related topics and improvement activities in custom declaration, clearance, AEO, hand carry shipments, bonded warehouse, FIZ and other custom related topics.
8. Key contact person to liaise with Government agencies such as MITI, MBPP, SIRIM, MOF, Custom and so on for certification/license/permit application and other related topics involve Government agencies.
9. Support review and update of operational procedures and workflows.
10. Support SAP-related topics and ensure correct system usage.
11. Conduct on-the-job training and knowledge sharing to team members.
12. Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and company directives.
13. Support superior in reporting, analysis, and operational planning.
14. Support superior in both internal and external audits by preparing documentation, providing necessary information, and ensuring processes are audit-ready.
15. Other additional tasks as per superior instructions.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in inbound logistics and customs operations
• Good knowledge of customs regulations, compliance requirements, and import/export processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAP is an added advantage
• Familiarity with FMEA, project management, quality management, and operational strategy is preferred
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and external partners
• Proactive, responsible, and result-oriented mindset with strong accountability
• Structured and detail-oriented approach to work with good problem-solving skills
• Awareness of escalation processes and ability to handle issues within defined scope
• Experience in mentoring or guiding junior staff is an advantage
• Strong commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
