Senior Maintenance Executive, Quality

SUMMARY OF DUTIES :

The Maintenance & Quality Executive is responsible for leading and managing maintenance operations and quality assurance processes to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of equipment and systems. This role involves strategic planning, overseeing maintenance teams, implementing quality control measures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

MAIN DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Engineering

• Managing the Engineering Services - Building & Facility / Machineries of Sterile Services Sdn Bhd.
• Oversee the overall engineering activities in the company to smoothen the work process.
• Provide technical advice in relation to operation & maintenance, modifications/upgrading of M&E system and preparation of documentation/reports i.e Condition Appraisal (CA) report, technical reports, tender document, specifications and defects list.
• Ensure the most efficient and economical operations of Building & Facility by ensuring effective implementation of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programs as per industrial requirements.
• Ensure implementation and success of predictive and corrective maintenance practices leading to the best practices.
• To administer the maintenance expenses within approved budget, plans and programs to ensure the optimum utilization of available equipment and spare parts, space facility and manpower requirement in attaining operations objectives.
• Establish performance monitoring system for in-house/outsourced maintenance activities in order to ensure service delivery meets the expectations of the management.
• Propose, evaluate and recommend new engineering equipment, upgrades or replacement to achieve the most practical and cost effective solution.
• vEnsure all licensing of machinery & equipment is up to date and within the legitimate period.

2. Quality Assurance

• Determining quality requirements necessary to meet customers and regulatory bodies.
• Represent Sterile Services Sdn Bhd as Management Representatives (MR) for any quality audit
• Coordinate and monitor daily routine work of in-house Autoclave Operator (AO) or Technicians.
• Planning & execute of inspection & testing of materials, equipment’s and product to ensure all quality requirements are met.
• Ensuring all type of measurements required for quality control or verification of processes or product inspections are made using equipment of appropriate accuracy, which is calibrated & traceable to the national standards.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify business risk and control assessments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• The CSSD Complaint Coordinator is responsible for receiving, recording, investigating, and resolving complaints related to sterile processing services, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and quality assurance requirements.

3. Safety & Health

• To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994.
• To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Ensure the availability and proper maintenance of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety laws and regulations and adjust policies as necessary.

4. Information Technology (IT)

• Shall be responsible on the management of the entire IT services & organization.
• Updates & report to management for any matters arise related to computer software & hardware (IT).
• Support end user on matters / problems concerning on system hardware and software.
• Liaise with vendor for any changing or additional in database which requested by management.
• Implementation process of any new enhanced system.
• Monitor the costs in the company regarding Information Technology (IT) equipment’s.

5. Risk Management

• Reduces or eliminates the potential risks that might affect a healthcare facility.
• Maintains risk management information system database.
• Identifies organizational risk through trend analysis of incidents, incident letters, reports etc.
• Conducts Root Cause Analysis investigations, which includes assessing need for focused review by departments, and or management for peer reviews.

6. Sustainability

• Ensuring compliance with regulations related to sustainability.
• Minimize the company’s impact on the environment and improve sustainability.
• Monitoring sustainability initiatives for effectiveness.
• Provide Quarterly data of energy & waste consumption to the headquarters.
• Exploring ways to make business activities more sustainable.

7. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure adhere to The KPJ Way/ Standard People Practice (SPP).
• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

• Diploma In Engineering
• 3 year working experience
