Play a major role in managing, planning, designing and implementation of architectural elements of IT that align with an organization’s strategic objectives. The role serves as a bridge between business strategy and technical execution. As an Enterprise Architect (EA), I have to ensure that the architecture of the group’s IT landscape supports business objectives, closes gaps between business requirements and technical capabilities, providing scalable and secure solutions.

Therefore, it involves strategic planning and decision-making with the Head of Enterprise Architect. Conduct current state assessments to map the transition to the target state by addressing the gaps. Develop high-level target designs and, when necessary, interim state designs incorporating best practices. Consolidate design resources and providing the best practice based on standards and current industry practices. To use architecture frameworks in developing artefacts.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role should be:

• Contribute towards the vision and strategy for technology architecture.
• Provide technology guidance across Group IT initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of Target Architecture for Technology and transition architecture where necessary.
• Lead collaboration of teams, comprising of architects, stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop innovative, efficient and resilient architecture that support the IT enablement of KPJ across the domain.
• Provide alignment between Business Strategy to Technology enablement.
• Ensure Architectural Governance by providing oversight to design alignment with industry regulations, safety standards, KPJ IT principles, and incorporating the latest technological advancements where feasible.
• Develop technology domain’s architectural design from concept through to completion.
• Provide integration oversight to the various technology domains for a cohesive solution delivery.
• Provide architectural leadership for all design phases, including conceptual design, logical and physical design.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders and project managers to incorporate their requirements and consider constraints into the architectural design.
• Enforce governance of architectural principles and approved designs in implementation of solution.
• Effectively communicate design concepts, strategies, and project updates to internal teams and to stakeholders.
• Explore and recommend emerging technologies that enhance the efficiency and functionality of KPJ Group IT.
• Establish and enforce EA standards and frameworks, ensuring consistency across projects and initiatives.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance architecture of a solution.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior architectural role.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale IT solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
• Professional experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).

Technical Skills

• Deep understanding of modern IT architectures, including cloud computing, microservices, and SOA.
• Proficiency in a variety of technology stacks and platforms, including both legacy systems and modern technologies.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns, data architecture, and cybersecurity best practices.
