Senior Marketing Copywriter

The Marketing Copywriter will be instrumental in developing and executing content strategies to elevate Selkirk Sport’s brand in Asia. This role involves creating engaging, localized content across various platforms, including campaigns, blogs, emails, social platforms, newsletters and website copy to attract and retain customers while aligning with our global brand voice. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer with a passion for sports, digital marketing and storytelling, capable of adapting messaging for diverse markets. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute content strategies for campaigns, blogs, emails, newsletters and website content tailored to the Asian audience specifically Malaysian, Philippines and Vietnam market. 


• Write clear, persuasive and original copy that aligns with Selkirk’s brand identity and resonates with local audiences.


• Collaborate with the marketing team, design and social media teams to create cohesive messaging across all digital and print channels.


• Conduct market research to understand trends, customer preferences and competitor strategies in Asia.


• Optimize content for SEO to enhance visibility and engagement.


• Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.


• Work closely with designers, creatives, social media managers and other stakeholders to produce visually appealing and impactful content.


• Monitor content performance and adjust strategies based on analytics and feedback.


• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging platforms and best practices in content marketing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.


• 5+ years of experience in copywriting, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably in the sports, fitness, or lifestyle industry.


• Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, Tagalog or Vietnamese is a plus.


• Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO and social media platforms.


• Ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms.


• Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.


• Self-motivated, organized and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.


• Passion for sports, particularly pickleball, is highly desirable.
