Job description:

Senior Nurse managers supervise nursing staff in a Resort Nursing home, oversee patient care, make management and budgetary decisions, set work schedules, coordinate meetings, and make personnel decisions. Also recruit and train nurses and other health care professionals and maintain a facility's records.

Responsibilities:

• Create goals and objectives for their department or facility and make sure they are met by the staff
• Communicate with staff and department heads.
• Keep and organize records of the facility.
• Recruit and train nurses and other health professionals
• Create work schedules for nurses.
• Ensure the facility they work in is compliant with current laws!
• Improve the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to patients!
• Solve any problems patients might have at the facility!
• Fulfil administrative and practical duties for the nurse manager.
• Schedule nurses’ shifts
• Knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
• Ensure all nurses follow policies and procedures.
• Log and report any issues to the nurse manager.
• Train new team members
• Provide supplementary care to patients as needed.
• Evaluate nurses’ performance.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals regarding patients.
• Inform family members about medical procedures and doctors’ instructions.
• Handle complaints or other issues
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing psychological support to patients, family and friends.
• Keep records of nurses’ files, patients’ cases, and procedures.

Requirements and skills

• Proven work experience as a nursing Manager
• Thorough knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
• Team management skills
• Great communication and people skills
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• diploma in nursing
• Valid nursing license

Additional Duties

• Ability to write reports and correspondence at a professional level.
• Ability to use a computer and software proficiently.
• Maybe assigned other responsibilities as needed (pre-agreed with the client and this company)
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
