Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and contributing to the development of software applications, ensuring their reliability, efficiency, and scalability. The senior programmer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

1. Participate in the design, development, and implementation of software applications in accordance with project requirements.
2. Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable code using best practises.
3. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior programmers and team members.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, propose solutions, and provide technical expertise.
5. Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and quality guidelines.
6. Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, identifying and implementing effective solutions.
7. Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend software upgrades to enhance efficiency and performance.
8. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
9. Support and assist the department and section heads in performing other responsibilities related to the Digital Technologies Department as and when required by the management.

Requirement

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
2. Proven experience (5 years) as a software developer or programmer, with a focus on designing and developing software applications
3. Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel and Yii2
4. Understanding of MVC design patterns
5. Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, Python, Java, or other relevant languages
6. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GitLab
7. Strong understanding of software development methodologies, principles, and best practises.
8. Experience with database management systems (MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL) and their declarative query languages
9. Understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team environment.
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
12. Prior experience in healthcare technology or related industries is a plus.
