Senior Quantity Surveyor

JobResponsibilities:

• Responsiblefor all QS operations (pre-contract, tender preparation, take offquantity, Bill of Quantities preparation, submission, sourcing forquotations and analyze, compare and evaluate materialcost)                                                                                             
• Appointmentof contractors and letter of awardpreparation                                
• Preparingbudgets and ensuring that the completion of the project fallswithin budget
• Evaluateand prepare the project progressclaims
• Visitsites to monitor progress, prepare monthly site valuation report,attend site meetings and assess progressclaims                                                                                     
• Performsite measurement to cross check final quantity and preparation offinal accounts
• Buildand maintain sub-contractor and material supplier costdatabase
• Responsiblefor procurement, negotiation, material inventory record,documentation
• Liaisewith site managers, clients, contractors andsubcontractors
• Performany other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Superior from time totime

JobRequirements:

• Candidatemust possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor'sDegree/Postgraduate Diploma/Bachelor's Degree/Master’s Degree inQuantity Survey, Civil Engineering orequivalent
• Atleast five (5) years of working experience in construction field isrequired for thisposition
• Stronginterpersonal, communication and negotiationskills
• Ableto work under pressure andindependently
• Requiredlanguage(s): English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia. Preferablycandidates who are fluent in Mandarin as role requires candidate todeal with Mandarin speakingclients.
