Senior Technology Manager - Urgent Position

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for Technology Head to oversee our business hardware, software and tech operations. Technology Head’s responsibilities include monitoring network infrastructure and resolving system issues. You need to have experience with IT performance management, network administration and system security. If you’re also familiar with data protection regulations and able to juggle multiple projects, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll ensure our IT systems are secure, consistent and reliable.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

1. In charge of business operations, automation & technology setup. 
2. Maintain and optimize our networks and servers.
3. Be responsible for device and password management.
4. Oversee data backup and system security operations (e.g. user authorization, firewalls).
5. Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software.
6. Assess system performance and recommend improvements.
7. Resolve issues escalated by technicians and engineers.
8. Ensure data is handled, transferred or processed according to legal and company guidelines.
9. Provide support and guidance to stakeholders. 
10. Manage contracts with vendors and software licenses.
11. Develop IT policies and practices.
12. Key Person for advisory on regtech, infra and cybersecurity matters.

JOB REQUIREMENT (SKILLS)

1. Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in the regtech landscape, especially compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia Guidelines.
2. Strong proficiency in DevOps practices and tools, with a significant emphasis on coding abilities and understanding of API development and integration.
3. The role demands a technical leader capable of steering technology discussions and decisions, underpinned by a solid foundation in coding and API knowledge, rather than focusing on vendor management. 
4. Adept at leading the technical direction and ensuring the implementation aligns with regulatory requirements and internal standard.

QUALIFICATION

1. Candidate must possess at least a tertiary background in Computer Science, IT or relevant field.
2. Experience in handling regulated products infrastructure is a must as this is a technical role.
3. Experience in trouble shooting servers at data centers and able to lead tech discussions.
4. Must be able to at least handle Linux, write python and decipher FortiGate reports.
5. Strong knowledge in BNM processes, regulations and guidelines related to e-money services.
