Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for providing after-sales maintenance, repair, technical support, and technical solutions for our Topcon Products. The role involves ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow, focusing on software integration and basic IT troubleshooting related to our software products. The ideal candidate will be customer-oriented, analytical, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Core Job Duties:

Technical Daily Routine

  • Arrange, coordinate, and conduct delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning at customer sites.
  • Prepare after-sales service documents (quotations, warranty certificates, PPM contracts, etc.).
  • Respond promptly to breakdown calls and technical complaints from customers.
  • Analyze issues and determine solutions for customer problems.
  • Update and complete related documents for Topcon Regional Office (TSM) regarding breakdowns and warranty claims/repairs.
  • Provide customers with feedback and reports on service requests.
  • Plan travel schedules, including outstation visits if necessary.
  • Handle the PPM contract stamping process when applicable.

Sales Related

  • Propose and prepare PPM contracts and repair solutions, leading to technical sales.
  • Identify technical sales opportunities and achieve yearly sales targets.

Other Duties

  • Assist in or conduct product training and demonstrations.
  • Assist in trade events and screening programs.
  • Responsible for credit collection.
  • Submit weekly reports and market information to the manager every Monday.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Minimum tertiary education, preferably a degree in engineering or a similar field.
  • Solid technical knowledge and skills in repairing medical equipment.
  • Background in IT knowledge is advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft software.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Deadline-driven and customer-oriented.
  • Experience handling infrastructure connectivity or Information Technology.
  • Familiarity with all parts of the products and electrical or mechanical procedures.
  • Ability to cope with a fast-paced working environment and remain professional under pressure.
  • Valid driving licenses, including GDL.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
