As a Shopfloor Planner, you will drive on‑time delivery by translating production plans into clear, executable schedules that keep the shopfloor running smoothly. Additionally, you have:
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
7–10 years of experience in production planning or shopfloor planning, preferably in an EMS / electronics manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience supporting production ramp-ups or high-mix manufacturing.
The Shopfloor Planner has the following responsibilities:
Production Planning & Release
Translate the Master Production Schedule (MPS) into weekly and daily shopfloor production plans.
Release production orders to the warehouse and shopfloor in line with material availability and readiness.
Ensure production orders are accurate, complete, and released on time to support uninterrupted manufacturing flow.
Capacity & Alignment
Validate that production plans are aligned to unit and line-level capacities, including manpower, machines, tooling, and shift patterns.
Identify capacity gaps and constraints early; initiate capacity escalation actions with operations and management teams.
Support ramp-up activities by proactively adjusting plans to meet increased demand and volume variability.
Shopfloor Control & Execution
Monitor and control plan adherence on the shopfloor, ensuring execution aligns with committed schedules.
Expedite critical production orders to prevent delivery delays.
Drive short-term production recovery plans in case of disruptions (material shortages, line issues, manpower gaps).
Plan Optimization
Optimize weekly and daily production plans to balance output, resource utilization, and delivery priorities.
Smoothen production sequencing to improve throughput and minimize changeovers, idle time, and work-in-progress.
Communication & Feedback
Act as a key interface between shopfloor operations, warehouse, and enterprise planning teams.
Provide regular feedback to the enterprise planner on:
Production progress
Risks to delivery commitments
Capacity constraints and overload situations
Escalate delivery risks in a timely and structured manner to support decision-making.
