Job Description

Monitoring the work environment and addressing the potential hazard which include the implementation of safety protocols, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations (of main contractor’s & Dover’s), and providing training to sub-contractor / staff on safety practices which in turn shall contribute to the efficient and effective completion of projects.

Job Duties

• Coordinate with project managers & PIC to integrate safety practices into daily operations and planning. 
• Implement and enforce the company’s health and safety policies to ensure a safe work environment for employees and sub-contractor.
• Checking of sub-contractors’ work to ensure compliance with the Act and the regulations made thereunder are complied with.
• Perform regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures on any unsafe conditions / practice at the installation;
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for sub-contractor to ensure understanding and compliance with safety protocols.
• Investigate accidents or incidents to determine causes and propose measures to prevent future occurrences.
• Manage the maintenance and readiness of safety equipment, ensuring all gear meets current safety standards.
• Liaise with main-contractor’s safety supervisors with respect to safety of work undertaken by Dover.
• Assist Safety and QAQC Department with necessary task from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Must possess at least a Diploma / Bachelor Degree (Environmental/ Health/ Safety) or equivalent discipline.
• Yellow/Green Book holder (Kindly state in Resume)
• Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with competency License registered with DOSH / JKKP.
• At least 2 years of working experience in safety related activities in construction industry.
• Knowledge in ISO requirements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Having experience dealing with relevant authorities.
• Posses Scaffolding Level 1/2/3, with minimum 2 years’ experience is encouraged to apply.
