Job Summary*

As a Personal Banker at United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with individual customers, providing expert financial advice, and offering a range of banking products and services to meet their needs.

Job Responsibilities*

* Acquire new customers and deepen relationships with existing clients through proactive engagement and needs-based selling.
* Conduct financial needs analysis for customers, identifying suitable banking products such as deposits, loans, investments, and insurance.
* Provide personalized financial advice and solutions, ensuring alignment with customer financial goals and risk profiles.
* Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately, including account opening, loan applications, and investment placements.
* Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating complex issues when necessary.
* Educate customers on digital banking channels and promote their usage.
* Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) guidelines.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as product specialists and branch managers, to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.
* Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to the overall branch performance.
* Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes within the financial services industry.

Job Qualifications*

* A Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role within the banking or financial services industry, preferably as a Personal Banker or Relationship Manager.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Strong understanding of banking products, services, and financial markets.
* Ability to analyze financial data and provide tailored solutions.
* Customer-centric mindset with a strong commitment to service excellence.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CUTE) will be an added advantage.
