Job Scope:

Design, code, test, deploy and maintain software applications/solutions to meet user requirements and system specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Development and Maintenance:

Design, develop and maintain software applications (familiarity with Python and Node.js is an advantage), ensure code quality, reliability and efficiency.
Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to gather requirements for application development.

2. DevOps Integration:

Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate software applications into our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
Implement automation scripts for build, test and deployment processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

3. Data Analysis and Reporting:

Develop and maintain data processing pipelines and create reports and visualisations to support decision-making processes.

4. System Monitoring and Optimisation:

Monitor application performance, identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimisations to improve the speed, scalability and efficiency of applications and infrastructure.
Ensure high availability and reliability of software applications and services.

5. Collaboration and Continuous Learning:

Work closely with cross-departmental teams to achieve project deliveries.
Stay updated with latest industry trends and technologies in open-source tools, DevOps practices and data analysis methodologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field
Proven experience in software development, preferably with Python and Node.js.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (e.g. Docker).
Strong background in data analysis, with experience using data libraries and visualisation tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on efficiency, scalability and reliability.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
