Job Overview:

As a Software Team Lead/Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our software development team for product improvement to create and enhance software solutions that power our state-of-the-art semiconductor testing, automation, inspection, and metrology products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of software projects that meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

Job Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Team Management:

○ Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance, support, and motivation to foster a high-performing and collaborative work environment.

○ Drive the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of team members, identifying skill gaps and implementing training programs as needed.

○ Set clear goals and objectives for the team, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to ensure alignment with business objectives.

2. Software Development and Technical Expertise:

○ Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software solutions for semiconductor testing, automation, inspection, and metrology systems.

○ Collaborate with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to define software requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment with customer needs and industry standards.

○ Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software development, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement in our software products.

3. Project Planning and Execution:

○ Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocations, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of software projects within budget and scope.

○ Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and escalate concerns as necessary to ensure project milestones are achieved.

○ Foster effective communication and collaboration within the software team and with cross-functional teams, promoting transparency, accountability, and shared ownership of project deliverables.

4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

○ Implement best practices and processes for software development, including code reviews, testing methodologies, and documentation standards, to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of our software products.

○ Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal quality management systems, conducting audits and assessments as needed to maintain certification and accreditation.

Qualifications & Experiences Needed

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

● Proven experience in software development, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.

● Strong technical expertise in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or others commonly used in embedded and application software development.

● Prefer candidate from similar industry (semiconductor/machine automation industry)

● Proven experience in product and continuous improvement.

● Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM9,500.00 per month
