Sole Director for Small Pilates & Physio Business - with Growth Opportunities

Body in Common is a small, 2-Studio Pilates and Physiotherapy business with studios in Bangsar and Kota Damansara, with a proud 6-year history and a 5 star rating on google.

We offer Group Fitness Pilates classes, 1on1 Pilates, and also Exercise-based rehabilitation, using a combination of Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates.

The company is in profit, with no debt.  The business is a Sdn Bhd and has shareholders.

And most importantly: we have a fantastic and positive work culture, full of relaxed, professional full-time staff.

The current founder and director of the business needs to step down to focus on a related, supporting project which is part of a different company.  As such, they will no longer be able to fulfil the role of director for Body in Common.

The current director is able to provide support as a part-time employee for the foreseeable future to ensure Body in Common's long-term success, and to ensure that the new director has time to grow into the role.

We are seeking a full replacement for the role of Sole Director (Managing Director) to take the reigns of Body in Common, and steer the business towards success and a third studio in the future.

Body in Common is a SMALL business, so the director will be hands-on, included in the day-to-day action of the business.  There is no dedicated HR or Accounting departments at the current business size (16 Staff, 2 Studios).  This includes all functions related to being responsible for the business, such as:

• Liaising with the company secretary, accountant, legal advisors.
• Conducting board meetings and adjusting the strategic goals of the business.
• Managing the financial stability of the business.
• Hiring, Training, Delegation, and Employment
• Preparing Payroll and making payments.
• Building team culture.
• Finding opportunities and improving existing systems.
• Approving schedule changes.
• Paying dividends and reporting to shareholders.
• And being the final point of responsibility in the business.

The successful candidate will be calm, knowledgable, resilient, and passionate about Pilates or Physiotherapy.  They must be knowledgable in one or both of these two areas, but it is not a strict requirement for the person to be a Physiotherapist.

Base Salary will be negotiated based on skill set and based on how much support the current director will need to provide.  Further growth will be via profit-share or business buy-in.
